When the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, refreshing beverages like rosé wine really hit the spot. We put together some of the best places to sip the invigorating beverage in the D.C. area, and just in time too—June is National Rosé Month.
The raw bar and restaurant’s Rosé Garden is perfect for relaxing outdoors while enjoying vast riverside views in the center of The Yard’s Park. With 10 different rosés, delicious raw snacks like poached shrimp or oysters on the half shell, Whaley’s is summertime perfection. Guests can also bring friends who are not too keen on rosé, as the garden also features icy drinks like piña coladas and corpse revivers. The tropical-themed 30-seat garden is first come, first served and maximum party size is six, so be sure to plan accordingly. 301 Water St. SE Suite 115, 202-484-8800
Located on the sixth floor of the luxurious Georgetown hotel, the Rosewood, the newly redesigned Rooftop Bar and Lounge will feature refreshing rosés by the glass for the month of June in honor of National Rosé Month. Guests can enjoy $5 off select rosés, such as the 2015 Maison Shaps and Bourgogne Rosé from Burgundy, France. With gorgeous views of the Potomac, Washington Monument, and more, this locale is a must. 1050 31st St. NW, 202-617-2424
The Mediterranean-inspired restaurant will be featuring new rosés exclusively for the month of June. Their new 32-seat outdoor patio is an ideal place to enjoy a glass or two while noshing on small plates like bacon wrapped dates and chicken meatballs in a ginger tomato sauce. 2033 M St. NW, 202-888-2899
The hotel’s rooftop will be the home to a rosé slushy machine this summer, so be sure to try their frozen version of your favorite pink drink. The swanky Georgetown hotspot will also be featuring a list of rosés for all tastes during the warmer months, including the refreshing Whispering Angel with juicy, enticing strawberry and berry fruits and the Meiomi Rosé, a pale pink with watermelon, orange peel, and just a slight hint of rose petal. 1075 Thomas Jefferson St. NW, 202-337-0900
