Former Washington Redskin Terry Crews stars in Adam Sandler's new film for Netflix.
If you’ve ever wanted to see burly Terry Crews in friendly mutton chops and a jaunty neckerchief, then you’re in luck: The up-for-anything costar of the Fox hit Brooklyn Nine-Nine appears in Adam Sandler’s Western comedy The Ridiculous Six, which premieres on Netflix on December 11.
Tell us about the film. “It’s…ridiculous. [Laughs] Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, Taylor Lautner, Jorge Garcia, Luke Wilson, and myself are brothers looking for our dad, Nick Nolte, who basically slept with every woman in the Old West.”
Harvey Keitel is in it! “I had the privilege of working with him. This guy is truly a legend. It’s all the Sandler camp—the Happy Madison family is just not going anywhere.”
It’s releasing on Netflix? “Netflix is the future of entertainment, my God. The way they’re doing it. The creative—we could do what we wanted [with] money for days. They brought in 40 horses! We shot in Santa Fe and the vistas, the whole thing, the real deal.”
It’s been your dream to do a Western. “I think it’s every actor’s dream—for me I thought, Man, in a million years, where are you gonna put a brother in a Western? And they found a way to do it!”
