A pop-up restaurant will open in the Gallery room at Trummer's this fall.
For a different vibe, check out Trummer’s third-floor Gallery room, where the work of local artists are featured on the walls. It’s also where the owners and the chef are experimenting with the concept of the pop-up restaurant-within-a-restaurant. This past spring, the Gallery was turned into a burger and milkshake bar. It proved so popular that the pop-up run was extended from one month to two (a chicken burger with smoked jalapeño aïoli and pancetta on a pretzel roll was a crowd favorite).
Later this fall, look for the Gallery to be transformed into an Austrian heuriger, a wine tavern of sorts, serving newly fermented wines along with a selection of rustic foods such as sausages, charcuterie, cheeses, and pickles. 7134 Main St., Clifton, VA, 703-266-1623
