Today is National Tequila Day. Celebrate the traditional Mexican spirit with one of our favorite drinks all-year-round: the Blood Orange Chile Pequin. A unique twist on the traditional margarita, you can find the cocktail at Oyamel Cocina Mexicana or make it at home following the recipe below.
Blood Orange Chile Pequin Ingredients:
1.5 oz. El Jimador blanco
1 oz. Triple Sec
1 oz. fresh lime
1.5 oz. blood orange-chile Pequin mix
Directions: Add all ingredients into a shaker tin filled with ice and shake hard. Strain over fresh ice into a salt-rimmed rocks glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
