Cartier opens at Tysons Corner just in time for the holidays.
Next door to The Ritz-Carlton, Cartier’s newest area boutique showcases its exquisite jewels and accessories in four specialized sectors. “There are different areas devoted to Cartier’s jewelry, timepieces, bridal, and home collections,” says Fariba Jahanbani, the regional director at Cartier, who oversees the new outpost.
Locally, Jahanbani has worked for the Parisian jeweler for 27 years—previously managing the Chevy Chase and former Tysons Galleria locations—so she has a special appreciation for Cartier’s ties to the community. “Cartier is synonymous with Washington. This is a town of pioneers, and Cartier is a pioneer of luxury jewelry,” she says. “It’s edgy at times, yet classic and devoted to historic legitimacy and eternal style.”
In addition to DC’s stylish women, Cartier appeals to the area’s most powerful men. “From sportsmen to lobbyists to ambassadors, they all come here [for] something discreet, but beautiful,” Jahanbani explains. For the holidays, she recommends the rose gold Tank MC wristwatch with chocolate brown dial and the Rotonde de Cartier Mysterious Hours timepiece. Tysons Galleria, 703-749-4664
