Great for holiday-season events, these hotels feature spaces with breathtaking views and incredible offerings.
P.O.V. Rooftop Lounge and Terrace at W Washington, DC
This swanky spot boasts some of the most coveted views of DC: the White House, Washington Monument, the Jefferson Memorial, and more. Enjoy the panorama while sipping on seasonal craft cocktails and tasty tapas from the bar menu (we suggest the crispy calamari with pickled chilies and yuzu sauce or the sun-dried pineapple, jicama tilefish tempura). Nestled in the W Washington, DC, which boasts elegant décor upstairs and down, P.O.V. is the perfect setting for after work drinks or a date night. Also drop by for Sunday brunch and Bellinis between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Bonus: the space turns into a luxe nightclub on weekend evenings, so you can dance and drink while still enjoying the stunning views. General reservations are not required, but if you’d like to reserve a table, submit your request online or call 202-661-2400, extension 2478. 515 15th St., NW
The Observatory at The Graham Hotel
The Observatory—the new rooftop bar and lounge at The Graham Hotel in Georgetown—is the place to be seen—and to see Washington like never before. Visit in chic attire and get magnificent glimpses of the Kennedy Center, Washington Monument, and the Rosslyn skyline. Don’t fret about the temperature: The hotel will be introducing heat lamps outside, letting you comfortably enjoy its scenic views into the holiday season. Also take a moment to review the drink and cigar menus: The Observatory will feature hot specialty cocktails starting this month, including a Hot Toddy. Reservations are required and private event space is available: call 255-341-1292 or email email@example.com. 1075 Thomas Jefferson St., NW
Top of the Hay at The Hay-Adams
If you’re planning a refined dinner, wedding, or corporate meeting, the Top of The Hay should be on your list. Open for private events only, this so-called “crown” of The Hay-Adams hotel features lovely French windows and doors and spectacular, panoramic views—including a gorgeous view of the White House and LaFayette Park. You’ll access the seemingly sky-high space via elevators in the hotel lobby and find “trellis-like lattices” under vaulted skylights in the space that can also be divided into five contiguous meeting rooms. This November, ask about the Thanksgiving Package, which includes two nights or more at the luxury hotel, a welcome amenity from pastry chef Josh Short, a continental breakfast for two, Thanksgiving lunch or dinner for two on the Top of the Hay, and round-trip private transfers to shopping excursions on Wednesday, 11/27, Black Friday, 11/29, or Saturday, 11/30 to Chevy Chase, MD, Tysons Corner, VA, or Georgetown. Stay dates are November 26 through December 1. 800 16th St., NW, 202-638-6600
