Sprint into the summer months this June at the Inaugural Washington D.C. Triathlon. On June 20th, runners will gather in West Potomac Park for a USAT-sanctioned race along a scenic and historical background. They will be running through DC’s monuments and into Pennsylvania Avenue, where the race will end and months of endless practice will finally pay off. Runners will be challenged with Sprint and Olympic distance courses including a .8k swim, a 20k bike, and a 6.7k run. It is an opportunity for many to get in their best shape, to accomplish a goal, and, ultimately, it is a great way to kick off summer. Registration opened on February 1st for interested runners. Get in shape this summer, run a triathlon.–MONICA STERN-MORALES
