The Vibe: Modern-day steakhouse with luxe trimmings, loads of flattering natural light and a swank Four Seasons address. Try not to fill up on the out-of-this-world truffle-rubbed rolls with fleur de sel.

The Vibe: Hole-in-the-wall lunch-only joint, known for good food, interesting conversation and ornery owner Art Carlson. Regulars know better than to skip the daily specials. The hand-cut fries are among the best in town.
